            The true measure of success is not what you have, but what you can do without. Although English is the medium of instruction and examination, we do not have students who speak English very fluently, nor all the time. Au contraire, our students speak vernacular so proficiently and persistently that too often their spoken and written English skills are literal translations which are at best, anacoluthic.

            But a little goes a long way. Enticing gambits such as Dictionary – A – Class project, READ (Reading Enhances All – Round Development) programme, Music Magic, Word Nerd, Mind Wind, PicSpeak, Treasure Hunt, Comic Strips and EAC ( English Augmentative Class), introduced over the years and recently have improved the students’ English language skills besides replacing the loathing (of the language) with love.
