The objectives of the Department are to achieve ‘Academic Excellence, Education for Life and Inculcating Moral Values’ among the students. The Department achieves its goal with the help of experienced and highly trained teachers, interactive learning and maximum use of modern multi-media tools.
The Department aims at students knowing their past, the present and how to mould their future. It also aims at a better understanding of our world in particular and the universe as a whole. The Department also parts off good moral values and civic sense, and how to maintain a good and friendly relationship with one and all, with the teachers as role models.

The Department of Computer Studies of TSIS is aimed at the maintenance of the IT Environment in the School. The schools IT vision is primarily focussed to provide the computer education to the students and make them competent in the era of Information Technology. The curriculum taught in the school is modern and frequently reviewed to adopt new trends in the area of computing Science & applications. The teaching activity implemented is 'student cantered' and practical oriented. Special attention is given by the well trained teaching staff to ensure that the student is getting individual attention in the theory and the practical sessions. The teaching activity carried out in the whole school utilisies all the latest technology to enhance the process of teaching and learning. All the teachers in the school are well versed in using computer as a teaching tool. The Dept. of Computer Studies provides all the support to utilize updated tools and training for the staff members.

The Computer Studies Department is powered with full featured and modern equipments with fully networked two Computer Labs with ADSL Broadband connectivity. The School has totally 100 Personal computers. The Media Centre and the Media Resource Library is to support the teachers to make their teaching efforts more effective. The Media Resource Library is enriched with a complete collection of all the Multimedia Lessons which are required for the curriculum. Apart from the Media Centre a large seminar hall is also setup in the school to address a large number of audiences at a time. 

Apart from these activities, the School Web site is developed and maintained by the experts in the department.

          Hindi is the language spoken widely throughout India. Indians living abroad yeran to learn Hindi language, Indian tradition and culture.
          To facilitate that, the department of Hindi in TSIS provides an opportunity to students to come into touch with their motherland and taste the essence of Indian culture.
          The GCE ‘O’ level examinations conducted by the University of London tests them for their skills in the Hindi language and till to date it is a record that students have excelled in that area.
          Whether it is a song competition(Anthakshari) or Drama they have shown extreme talent and basked  in the glory of knowing and imbibing  Hindi language.
          The Department of organizes various activities like Hindi poem recitation, fancy dress competition depicting great Indian patriots.
          Hindi diwas and Indian day are two other highlights of the department and closely associated with the curriculum.  Students eagerly wait for those events as it not only imparts knowledge but also enhances their talents.
